Poem - Hands on Books
62I went out for a virtual walk
and found myself in an amazon store
everywhere I looked were books
bizarre, I thought this was about a book hub
my ego is playing tricks on us
I ran about like a megalomaniac
putting my hand on every book I could see
I've had my hand on dickinson frost williams
ever so reverently I tiptoed over to Russia
Anna Akhmatova
Marina Tsvetaeva
Irina Ratushinskaya
their blood words pulsing on the page
I almost didn't dare
feel the fear of repression
taste the tears of alone
an eternal fountain of example
poor poets promulgating prescience
hardship horror bating bubbling bleeding
